Gunmen this morning at about 8am, stormed Kolo Police Station in Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa State, killing one police officer and injuring three others. Police officers who escaped unhurt, claim the attack might have been carried out by suspected oil thieves. The sad incident comes just one week after suspected militants ambushed and killed four soldiers at Letugbene community in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state.

A bus conveying FC Ifeanyi Ubah team players and some officials to Ijebu Ode was involved in a road accident today. Two players became unconscious following the accident while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
